Clematis recta is an unusual selection of clematis with a sprawling, bushy habit rather than being a climber. This clump-forming herbaceous perennial has smoky-purple leaves which fade to green by mid summer and airy white, star-shaped, scented flowers in summer. Makes an interesting cut flower.
