Eryngium bourgatii is a perennial plant with an upright, clump-forming growth habit and lobed, dark green leaves, marbled with broad silvery-white.  Its metallic blue cone-shaped flowers are surrounded by spiny bracts. The striking blue flowers add a drama to the border and makes an excellent cut flower.
