The largest of the Eryngiums I sell, Eryngium pandanifolium is an evergreen perennial forming a dense rosette of narrowly sword-shaped, spiky-margined, arching, blue-green leaves. It produces tall stems bearing towering umbels of many small, tight, round silvery reddish-purple flower heads. Has been awarded the RHS award of garden merit. Attractive to bees and butterflies and adds a dramatic architectural presence to the garden.
