A spreading evergreen perennial with rosettes of oblong, dark green leaves with upright spikes of lime green flowers. It spreads by underground runners, eventually forming a low weed smothering carpet for dry shade. Had the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
