Lysimachia ciliata is an upright, rhizomatous perennial which forms a mound of rich burgundy-purple leaves. It has star-shaped butter-yellow flowers about 2.5 cm across. It spreads fairly quickly and is the recipient of the Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society.
